HARMAN Provides Variety of New Color Options for JBL DD67000 Everest and K2-S9900 Loudspeakers with JBL Premium Finish Program
DALLAS, Texas – At CEDIA Expo 2015, HARMAN is launching the new JBL Premium Finish program, available for the JBL DD67000 Everest and K2-S9900 loudspeakers. The JBL Premium Finish program offers limited-edition, made-to-order, high-gloss painted finishes for enthusiasts and connoisseurs.
“In addition to best-in-class sound quality, our customers appreciate a variety of bespoke design options to best fit their personal environments,” said Jim Garrett, Director of Marketing and Product Management, HARMAN. “The new JBL Premium Finish program adds a level of personalization to the DD67000 Everest and K2-S9900 loudspeakers to match anyone’s aesthetic preferences.”
Seven custom-painted finishes are available for the DD67000 Everest and K2-S9900 loudspeakers including: Black Gloss; Polar White; Rosso Corsa; Sapphire Blue Metallic; British Racing Green Metallic; Tungsten Silver Metallic; and JBL Orange. The cabinets are painted using a multi-million-dollar positive pressure carousel using a multi-stage base coat/clear coat system and then finely sanded and polished to a mirror finish. These elegant paint choices provide a unique finishing touch to the already sophisticated appearance of the Everest and K2 loudspeakers. The result is a loudspeaker that makes an artistic statement for those with the most discerning tastes in sound and appearance.
The standard wood veneer finishes will remain available for both models (Rosewood on the DD67000 and a choice of Cherry or Black Zebrawood on the K2-S9900) while Black Gloss will join the line-up at additional cost. The remaining Premium Finish Options will be offered at an additional price commensurate with the fact that they are hand-crafted on a made-to-order basis with a 120-day lead time for availability.
Pricing for the finishes is as follows:
- Rosewood: $75,000/pr
- Black Gloss: $85,000/pr
- All Others: $90,000/pr
- Cherry or Black Zebrawood: $44,000/pr
- Black Gloss: $50,000/pr
- All Others: $55,000/pr
The DD67000 Everest and K2-S9900 Premium Finish Program will be available for orders beginning in October 2015 at CEDIA Expo in Dallas, Texas.
